When did Saint Clement of Rome live: 1st century AD
BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Clement of Rome was the third successor of the Apostle Peter as Bishop of Rome and is venerated as one of the first Popes. He was born into a noble Roman family and converted to Christianity early in life. His most famous work is the "Letter of Clement," an important text of the early Church. During the reign of Emperor Trajan, he was exiled and sentenced to forced labor in a stone quarry in Chersonesus (modern Crimea). There, he preached the Gospel and converted many prisoners. According to tradition, he was eventually thrown into the sea with an anchor tied around his neck.
PATRONAGE:
Saint Clement of Rome is the patron saint of sailors, stonemasons, marble workers, miners, and protector against storms and floods.
SYMBOLISM, DEPICTION:
The symbol of Saint Clement of Rome is the anchor, representing his martyrdom. He is also often depicted with a book, symbolizing his theological significance, and the papal tiara, indicating his role as Pope.

We generally have weekly bulk shipments of statue orders being sent from Italy. Once you order a statue you can generally expect it to arrive in about 3 weeks, allowing for international and domestic shipping times.

For statues 12" or larger, nativity sets over $350, or crosses and crucifixes 18" or larger, drop shipping from Italy is available to get your item quicker, but starts at $35 and goes up from there.
